Distributor's Risk

Distribution firms face greater risks than most other businesses due to significant vehicle and warehouse injury exposures. In recognition of your industry’s distinct risk profile, TIS created the Distributors’ Risk Division (“DRD”) to focus exclusively on providing risk management solutions to distributors.

With TIS as your agent, you can be confident that your risk management program is comprehensive and effective. Since the DRD Practice Group works only with distributors, we know your business, the perils you face, and how to deal with those exposures in a cost effective manner.

Risk Philosophy and Plan Design

Plan design is a key element to a successful risk management and insurance program, and TIS believes that traditional coverages should be approached in non-traditional ways. By relying on tomorrow’s risk philosophies today, we design risk management programs which separate us from other agents and which significantly benefit our clients.

We can deliver select insurance programs from leading carriers which are generally unknown to other agents. Through these select programs, our clients enjoy the cost benefits of loss sensitive programs without the burden of excessive out of pocket costs for any one incident

We Are Risk Retention Advocates.

The risk management and insurance programs we design for our clients are built around the concept of controlling costs through risk retention. Whether first party insurance, such as property coverage, or third party insurance, such as workers’ compensation coverage, the assumption of more risk drives down your company’s fixed costs. By supplementing your loss control efforts with our loss control resources (which are described below), we know that your claims, and therefore your costs, will decrease. Certainly an attractive proposition if you want to maximize your competitiveness and profits.

Risk Control Services

Workplace safety and accident free driving. Simple to identify, but challenging to accomplish. At TIS we have spared no expense in acquiring the risk control resources we need to keep claims low, nor do we spare any expense delivering these resources to our clients.

If you do not currently employ dedicated loss control personnel, TIS can be your outsourced solution. If you currently do employ dedicated loss control personnel, look to TIS to supplement their efforts without expanding your payroll.
